To all lawyers working as public defenders within the criminal justice system -
Here is your rate, as of the 17th of April 2025, for working public defense work:
- Cell Reps: $1,500
- Bench Trials/Appeals: $5,000
- HUT Cases/Plea Deals: $25,000
Additionally - any lawyer who wishes to train paralegals and offer a recommendation for a bar exam, and this person passes the exam, the lawyer will receive an additional $10,000 as a bonus stipend. This will be paid when the paralegal becomes an attorney.
