Ray Sipe is suing Deputy Louis Bloom & the Blaine County Sheriff's Office for a baseless Drug Trafficking charge, which was dismissed pre-trial by Justice Yackle due to lack of probable cause, dismissing the case against my client entirely. Despite this acquittal, Bloom refiled the charges under new labels, violating 5th Amendment Double Jeopardy and due process. Plaintiff seeks damages for unlawful detention of 3 years in Bolingbrook, unlawful detention for DOuble Jepody Warrant, Malicious Prosecution and 4th, 5th & 14th Amendment Violations. Plaintiff seeks $400,000 in damages, both compensatory and punitive to deter future misconduct from Bloom & BCSO.
