Reason for Suit: The BCSO has failed to pay out their damages to Morgan Luna-Schofield for a case that was completed on March 1, 2025, where it was ruled that the BCSO had violated Miss Luna-Schofield’s fourth amendment rights by making a bad arrest with no PC. They have been told at least twice by Magistrate Clausen to pay Morgan Luna-Schofield, and both of those court orders were ignored. Miss Luna-Schofield is suing for her immediate damages plus interest, as well as for punitive damages for thinking a civil rights’ violation and a court’s orders can just be disregarded.

List Damages:
$100,000 for paying out the $20,562 with accommodations for inflation
Punitive Damages:
$100,000 for the BCSO not taking a civil rights’ violation seriously and not following through with paying back Morgan Luna-Schofield in a timely manner in the amount that was owed to her. Civil rights’ violations should not ever be taken lightly or ignored.
$100,000 to be paid to the DOJ for the BCSO ignoring the court’s orders and thinking that a judge does not need to be heeded or listened to.
