Items to be Searched for and Seized:
Firearm used to shoot BCSO deputies
Probable Cause:
_Deputies Stout and Mercer were pulled over a vehicle whose owner was identified as Isaiah Carter who had a Warrant (Warrant ID:1230). The vehicle was occupied 6 times. Deputies asked the driver to step out who was identified as Rain Carter by himself and his drivers license. When Deputies tried to have the passengers step out of the vehicle, Rain Carter returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. After driving for a short bit the vehicle stopped to let Monette Torres Carter out of the vehicle(Identified by Cpt. Ripley who stopped to get her information). The vehicle continued to evade deputies, during the chase one of the people in the car made threats at Cpt. Boom while holding a class 3 firearm. Cpt. Bloom, Deputy Jacob Mercer and Deputy William Stout, opened fire on the vehicle, whose occupants stepped out of the vehicle and shot down the three deputies. The individuals then re-entered the vehicle and fled the area.
Evidence was collected that shows blood on the ground that matches Isaiah Carter and 5.56 NATO casings with Isaiah Carter’s fingerprints on them.
Rain Carter, Isaiah Carter, Sosa Carter, Octavius Salvatore, and Charles Bean turned themselves in at BCSO South for the OIS.
Octavius Salvatore and Charles Bean were in possession of firearms they claim were used in the shooting, a Compact Rifle, Compact PDW and a Heavy Revolver. These firearms do not match any of the casings found on the scene.
When Isaiah Carter was searched he was not in possession of any firearms.
While in custody at BCSO South Isaiah Carter stated that he had given his firearm to Octavius Salvatore.
Properties and vehicles to be searched are directly owned by Isaiah Carter and Octavius Salvatore.
The BCSO believe that it is more likely than not that the firearm Isaiah Carter used to shoot Deputies is stored in either his own properties or the properties of Salvatore who Carter claims the weapon was given to._
