Statement of Indictment:
On the 29th of June at approximately 18:00 EST, Chief Trench received a call regarding one of his Rangers. In this situation, Ranger Medwin was taken Hostage at Beaver Bush by multiple suspects. Rangers located the vehicle containing Medwin with 3 other individuals. They demanded information in exchange for his release.
The two individuals were able to be identified as Ched Chaddington and Chad Chaddington. They had asked for officers names regarding Investigation 6958 and AR 37765 for the seizure of their alleged belongings from their 'block' on Strawberry Avenue.
The State does not trade classified or restricted information in return for the wellbeing of hostages. The State believes that Chief Trench willingly and negligently acted outside the scope of his job by releasing classified information that immediately jeopardized the safety and wellbeing of other officers. From the date of this incident, many of the officers named in the report have had their lives directly threatened with clear statements that these threats relate to the aforenamed investigations. Additional information has arisen serving to suggest that 'Hits' have been placed on the heads of these Officers as a result of this information being wantonly released, some of these 'Hits' have been actively attempted.
The State therefore believes that Vincent Trench actively abused his position as a Government Employee by providing information that is through all intents and purposes classified as part of a hostage negotiation, it is not within the scope of the job to take such actions. The State wholeheartedly believes that this rises to the level of gross negligence given the sheer danger and risk to life posed by wantonly providing this information to violent criminals with little to no regard for the ramifications of said decision.
