Today is the 27th so the Scheduling Calendar has run out and we need a new one if trial is going to happen.
Separately, this matter is nearly a month old, the DAO has taken no action, and as far as I can tell between the two AO's, only one of them has just recently added availability for the first time, only for a 6am - 8am est window as the calendar expires. This is already a failure to prosecute and a violation of Ms. Lay's right to a Speedy Trial under the 6th Amendment. The defense would ask that if the State does not take action to make it possible for this trial to happen very soon then the charges against Ms. Lay should be dismissed.
If nobody from the State cares to make this happen that's fine, but then the defendant cannot be left in limbo.
