Just to jump in here with some information, bank records aren't able to be subpoened as of a few weeks ago. The IT department cannot export these transactions.

I will try to request them again, just in case anything has changed, but I don't think it is a thing they can do.

I have some concerns that the two month time span might be too much, but maybe they can accommodate that.

Your Honor, if there are technical limitations as to what the bank itself is able to submit to the court, the plaintiff sees no reason that this subpoena cannot be used to have the defendant submit his bank records from his own phone with supervision from a court official. I would like to argue that these specific records from his phone are just as subject to search as any records the bank would have on the defendant. As far as time frame, I understand there have been issues with record wipes all across the state of San Andreas in recent months, and the plaintiff would be more than satisfied with any records within the requested time frame. @Freddy

After speaking with the bank, we will need to be supplied with a bank account number for this subpoena to go through.

The State would also like to argue that for a civil suit, requesting bank account records for a period of three month's time is a bit of a violation of this person's privacy. Surely there are smaller windows of time if we are looking for payments?

My apologies District Attorney Luna-Schofield. I've been trying to get a hold of his Honor before I made any statements of finality. What I can say is that with the technical limitations you've described there is little information that would be helpful that can be discovered solely via cooperation with the bank. I have no suspicion of transfers between any specific bank accounts except for those between the plaintiff and the defendant, which we already have. If it was possible, a current bank balance for all of the defendant's bank accounts, and the numbers associated with them would be illuminating. Thank you for following up Ms. Luna-Schofield.

Just to clarify, Your Honor, Miss Li originally requested for the bank records to show payment for the contract with Ms. Morten, which you approved. I reached out to the bank to find out if this was something that was possible, as it has not been possible in the past. The bank told me that Miss Li would have to provide both the account numbers of Mr. Morten and Mr. Saltwood, along with a time frame of when the transactions between the two would have taken place. I passed this information along on the docket above. Miss Li said that she wouldn't be able to get anything from the bank's limitations and she didn't actually need them.

Now, she has a new ask for the bank balance for every single one of Mr. Saltwood's accounts along with the account information. This new request is what I denied because there is no explanation for why she needs to know all of Mr. Saltwood's account balances. It doesn't align with her original subpoena reasoning. Perhaps I should have told her to submit a whole new subpoena for her new request to avoid the confusion, which is my fault.

Well im glad that all got cleared up. Miss Li if you do manage to account numbers before the case and you still want them to be subpoenaed feel free to open another subpoena request.
