The evidence marker was a piece of trash that Ms. Kennedy was removing from her office when she moved into it recently. She simply forgot to throw away the marker. Your honor, quite frankly, a piece of plastic with a number on it that was used in an investigation that is in all likelihood far and away dead and finished, possessed by a Court Clerk to boot, is stretching the charge of Possession of Govt. Equipment to its its furthest possible interpretation, the defense argues.
In regards to the possession of an explosive your honor, the defense reasons that there were extenuating circumstances that would serve to exonerate Ms. Kennedy. The defense has evidence to support a reason to believe that Mr. Jacob First Temple planted the landmine on Ms. Kennedy, as he has been proven in a court of law to have done to another DOJ employee at least on one occasion. We would love to have verbal testimony about this from Ms. Kennedy and Mr. Temple, not to mention any other victim of a similar crime committed by Mr. Temple.
